Portuguese Language Children's Book Fair at St. Andrew's
The Brazilian immigrant ministry ProGente Connections (hosted by St. Andrew’s, Framingham) recently celebrated Dia das Crianças (Brazilian Children’s Day) with a Portuguese language children’s book fair. Organized by PGC’s Program Director Lilhian Borba (herself an author), the event was designed to make accessible high quality children’s literature to the Framingham community. PGC hosts Brasilerhinhos USA, a Saturday children’s enrichment program open to kids of all heritages, and it can be difficult for program parents to access materials to complement the program’s offerings. The event included STEM activities, traditional games and dances, readings by the authors, and a crafts table manned by volunteer students from St. Mark’s School in Southborough.
